Responsibilities

Wheat Ridge Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court and acts as a check and balance on the legislative and executive branches of government. The Court has jurisdiction over:

• Traffic Violations
• Local Ordinances:
  • Theft
  • Damage to property
  • Harassment
  • Code violations
  • Animal violations

The penalty for most criminal matters carry up to a $2,650.00 fine and up to 364 days in jail.

Court is in session Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please check the calendar for closures on legal holidays.
