Sustainable Wheat Ridge

The Sustainable Wheat Ridge Committee published the city's first Sustainability Action Plan in June of 2018. The main goal of this plan is to make Wheat Ridge a more sustainable community. The plan provides goals and actions the city can take to do so.

The action plan is broken down into six focus areas: Communications & Engagement, Green Building & Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, Solid Waste & Recycling, Transportation, and Water. Each section of the plan provides a general summary of the timeline, cost, and recommended actions. The plan also provides metrics for tracking our progress over time.
