The Wheat Ridge Police Department is committed to a philosophy of relationship-based policing, which is defined as strengthening connections between the Wheat Ridge Police Department, City government, and the community through interactions and dialogue that build mutual respect and trust. Together we share the responsibility to develop strategies to decrease crime and increase quality of life for everyone who lives, works, plays, and travels within the City of Wheat Ridge.
WRPD’s Community Advisory Group was formed to provide a forum for open dialogue regarding community issues. It is intended to increase community engagement in programs that will make our community safer, while discussing trends in law enforcement, and increasing public awareness of the department.
