The Police Records phone line is currently operating during the same hours as the window. This year we have added several easy-to-use online options for reporting and making requests. See the links below for these services or email the Records team at PoliceRecords@ci.wheatridge.co.us. 

Appointments are required for court ordered prints, interstate compacts and walk-through bonds. Bonding is only done on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Contact Records at the email above or 303-235-2921 to set up appointments for bonds, or 303-235-2942 for court ordered print or interstate compact appointments.

Online Reporting Available Now!

Reports of stolen vehicles, burglaries, robberies and most persons crimes cannot be reported online. Additionally, we cannot take reports with a known suspect or that occurred outside the City of Wheat Ridge. Call the non-emergency number at 303-980-7300 to speak to an officer. Identity theft may be reported online, but please follow instructions here before submitting the report. Additional forms are required and must be completed and attached to the online report.

Wheat Ridge Police Records Team

Wheat Ridge Police Records Team is the central repository of our criminal justice records and incident reports.

The WRPD Records Team: 

  • Maintains the security, credibility and accountability of all police case reports;   
  • Provides police records to citizens, insurance companies, and other government agencies in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws;  
  • Enters statistical crime information through Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for the National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) as mandated;     
  • Releases copies of the Wheat Ridge Sex Offender Registration list to citizens of Wheat Ridge and neighboring communities; 
  • Archives police records in accordance with all applicable state statues in regard to the retention, destruction, and preservation of public records;   
  • Forwards case and accident reports to Wheat Ridge Municipal Court and Jefferson County District Court for prosecution; and,
  • Bonds prisoners in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies during the normal business hours.
