Rules and Restrictions for the Wheat Ridge Police Department's Ride Along Program
The Ride Along Program will be limited to:
- Wheat Ridge citizens (unless otherwise approved by the Chief of Police).
- City of Wheat Ridge employees.
- Wheat Ridge Police candidates or interested persons.
- Commissioned officers from other jurisdictions.
Please email the Records team at policerecords@ci.wheatridge.co.us to request the Ride Along Program form, which includes age limitations, dress code, and additional requirements and expectations.
The form can be printed and completed beforehand but interested riders MUST bring the form to the Police Department with a photo ID at least 7 days prior to requested ride date.
