Public Meetings and Records
Find information and documents pertaining to Wheat Ridge City Council, Planning Commission and legal notices. In addition, access is available to City Ordinances, Resolutions, City Code, Charter and the Public Information Request policy and form.
Agendas and minutes are available prior to meetings and for review once meetings have occurred. Residents are encouraged to participate in providing public comment in person or on Wheat Ridge Speaks. Those who wish to participate online must register on Zoom by 6 p.m. prior to meetings. Zoom registration links can be found on the city calendar.

Regular council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of the month. Council study sessions are held on the first and third Mondays of the month. Both begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month in Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Ave.; however, on average the commission meets about 14 times per year. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. Comments can be submitted online directly to Planning Commissioners through Wheat Ridge Speaks. Meeting agendas are posted about 10 days in advance, and online comments close two days before the hearing. No sign up is required in order to comment. City Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. to consider Council Bill NO.:
07-2024: An Ordinance amending Sections 11-51, 11-52.5, 11-53, 11-53.5, 11-55, and 11-56 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning the composition of the Wheat Ridge Liquor Licensing Authority and making conforming amendments in connection therewith.
Upon appointment, request and notification, copies of the Ordinance are available in printed form.
The May 13, 2024 Council meeting will be conducted both as a virtual meeting and in Council Chambers. The public may also participate in these ways:

- Join the live meeting through the Zoom web link provided on the calendar on the City’s website at www.ci.wheatridge.co.us
- You will need to pre-register before 6:00pm the night of the meeting to provide public comment.

Individuals who, due to technology limitations, are unable to participate in the meeting virtually (via the Zoom platform) or by calling in on the telephone may contact Rhiannon Curry, Executive Assistant, at 303-235-2819 by noon on May 13, 2024. Arrangements will be made for those individuals to access City Hall during the meeting to view the meeting and provide public comment if desired. These comments will be heard and seen in real time by members of Council and City staff.
Liquor Authority Board
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to C.R.S. Sec. 44-3-311, Jasper Keys, LLC. dba Gastown by Jasper Keys, located at 5790 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80214 requested the Liquor Licensing Authority of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to grant a new Tavern Liquor License for the sale of alcohol beverages in open containers for on premises consumption.
Jasper Keys LLC consists of a sole member Finn Walsh, 4101 Winona Ct., Denver CO. The application date is April 5, 2024.
You are further notified that on Thursday the 23rd day of May, 2024, at the hour of 10 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, a Public Hearing on the application will be held before the Alcohol Beverage Hearing Officer in the Council Chambers located at 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge Planning Commission will conduct a Public Meeting on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
The May 16, 2024 Planning Commission meeting will be conducted as a virtual meeting and in person in City Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Avenue. Any person wishing to submit written documents for Commission’s consideration at the meeting must file them with Community Development staff. Written comments may be submitted on Wheat Ridge Speaks at www.wheatridgespeaks.org until noon on May 15. Alternatively, written documents or comments must be received no later than noon on the day of the meeting by emailing zoning@ci.wheatridge.co.us or mailing to City of Wheat Ridge, Attn: Planning Division, 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge CO 80033.

NOTICE FROM THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
Public notice of public meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and all other Board, Commission, Committee, and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required, shall be posted at the main entrance to the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the City.
Electronic publications on the City’s official internet webpage shall be authorized as a permissible means to publicize the action of the City and City Council, including without limitation, notices of public hearings, proposed legislative actions, and final legislative actions. Notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City, by either Charter or Code, shall be made in the Jeffco Transcript.

Ordinance 1781 - An Ordinance approving the rezoning of properties located at 3650 and 3660 Wadsworth Boulevard from Restricted-Commercial (R-C) and Neighborhood-Commercial (N-C) to Mixed Use-Neighborhood (MU-N).
Ordinance 1782 - An Ordinance amending Section 2-33 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning Community Service Officer code enforcement powers.
Ordinance 1783 - An Ordinance vacating any interest held by the City in a portion of Clear Creek Drive, a public roadway.
Ordinance 1784 - An Ordinance vacating any right-of-way interest held by the City in a portion of Miller Court.
Ordinance 1785 - An Ordinance amending Section 11-52.5 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning membership to the Wheat Ridge Liquor Licensing Authority.
Ordinance 1786 - An Ordinance approving the rezoning of property located at 10390 W. 38th Avenue from Commercial-One (C-1) to Mixed Use-Neighborhood (MU-N)
Ordinance 1787 - An Ordinance vacating any interest held by the City in a portion of W 46th Avenue between Everett and Estes Streets.
Ordinance 1788 - An Ordinance amending Articles V and XI of Chapter 26 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws, concerning bicycle parking and storage requirements, and making conforming amendments therewith.
Ordinance 1789 - An Ordinance amending Chapter 26 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking and Charging requirements and making conforming amendments therewith.
Emergency Ordinance 1790 - An Ordinance authorizing the appointment of an administrative hearing officer for liquor licensing matters and declaring an emergency.
Ordinance 1791 - An Ordinance amending Section 26-109 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning public hearing letter notice.
CODIFICATION
Notice is hereby given that Ordinances 1764 – 1780 (where applicable) were codified into Supplement 71 for insertion into the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge. Except where stated in the ordinances, Supplement 71 is effective February 27, 2024.

CORA requires that the City of Wheat Ridge provide the documents cited in your CORA request within three business days or in the case of extenuating circumstances, 10 business days. Before submitting a CORA request, please check to see if the documents you seek are already available on the city website on the Community Development/Planning Division page or on Laserfiche Weblink® - City Records Digital Archive. The first 10 pages of information are free. Additional pages are $.25 per page. Information requests requiring staff research efforts will be assessed at $33/hour in 1/4 hour increments. The first hour of research is free of charge.
