The Wheat Ridge Community Partners Grant Program is seeking new applicants for grant awards. Applications for grant awards are now open and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 26.
Last year, the Community Partners Grant Program awarded $200,000 in grants, distributed amongst 26 different organizations. The median grant award was $6,000. However, grant awards ranged from $1,400 to $24,300.
“This is a rewarding committee with a relatively low commitment. With the money the committee distributed these non-profits were able to offer additional events and services that directly serve Wheat Ridge residents,” said City Manager Patrick Goff.
Funds are available for non-profit programs and organizations and as sponsorship for events. Application forms for fund requests can be found on the city's website.
The Community Partners Grant Program Committee will review applications and make recommendations to city council on funding amounts. Grant applicants should be prepared to give a 10-minute presentation to the committee during one of four meetings during the evenings of June 4, 11, 18, or 25.
