  • Generally, meetings are held on the second Monday of the month every two months at 9 a.m.  at the Active Adult Center
     6363 W 35th Avenue. Meetings are open to the public.

 Overview

 The Wheat Ridge Active Adult Center Advisory Committee is selected by the mayor, and the purpose of the committee is to: 

  • Advise the Parks and Recreation Department on matters pertaining to the operations of the senior programs. 
  • Act as a liaison between the older adults of the community and the Active Adult Center. 
  • Promote older adult programs in the community. 
  • Take an active role in planning and coordinating our annual fund-raising events and vote on Senior Fund expenditures.
