Liquor License Authority Board

The Liquor License Authority (LLA) Board is responsible for licensing liquor establishments in the city and for conducting show cause hearings for alleged liquor license violations. They meet as needed every second and fourth Thursday of the month at 9 a.m., and meetings are open to the public.

During the COVID pandemic, stay at home orders and ensuing public health orders, the Board issued eight new liquor licenses of different types.  All to new businesses investing in the City of Wheat Ridges future.  This was accomplished with meetings that were held in the virtual format, hybrid with members attending in person and virtually, as well as in person meetings.
