Overview
The Community Partners Grant Program is a city-sponsored grant program that supports area non-profit agencies and programs that benefit and improve the health and wellness of Wheat Ridge residents. The City of Wheat Ridge is committed to enhancing the quality of life for others and the Community Partners Grant Program is one way the city gives back to the community.
We invite:
- Non-denominational and non-sectarian organizations which were organized in the State of Colorado
- Organizations that have a principle place of business in Jefferson County, Colorado and were organized in the State of Colorado
All applications will be reviewed by the Community Partners Grant Program Committee to ensure that they meet the established guidelines for the program based on the criteria listed on the application. Priority shall be given to those organizations that provide programs and services that benefit and enhance the quality of life for residents of Wheat Ridge.
2025 Funding Timeline
All funding requests should be for 2025 programming. The timeline of the program can be found below:
- March 1, 2024: Applications open
- April 26, 2024: Applications due
- June 4, 11, 18, & 25 2024: Presentations to CPGP Committee
- 3rd Quarter 2024: CPGP Committee presents funding recommendations to Council, and receives consensus to include the recommendations in the following year's budget
- October/November 2024: Council adopts City Budget for the following year
- November/December 2024: Applicants are notified of awards
- First quarter 2025: Funding is distributed
Community Partners Grant Program Committee
The CPGP Committee views funding requests, attends presentations, and recommends funding allocations to city council for the Community Partners Grant Program.
The committee reviews application materials and meets weekly on Tuesdays in June to view presentations for agencies and events that provide a community need and benefit the health, safety and welfare for Wheat Ridge residents.
At least one Wheat Ridge resident from each city council district will be selected to serve on the committee for three budget cycles (fiscal years 2024-2027) to expire July 2027. The city is currently seeking 3 new members.
Committee members must be able to attend the following presentation dates from 6 - 8:30 p.m.:
- Tuesday, June 4
- Tuesday, June 11
- Tuesday, June 18
- Tuesday, June 25
