Public Meeting Records
Find information and documents pertaining to City Council, Planning Commission and legal notices. In addition, access is available to City Ordinances, Resolutions, City Code, Charter and the Public Information Request policy and form.
Agendas and Minutes are available prior to meetings and for review once meetings have occurred. Residents are encouraged to participate in providing public comment in person or at WheatRidgeSpeaks.org. Those who wish to participate online must register on Zoom by 6 p.m. prior to meetings. Zoom registration links can be found on the city calendar.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month in Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Ave.; however, on average the Commission meets about 14 times per year. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. Comments can be submitted online directly to Planning Commissioners through Wheat Ridge Speaks. Meeting agendas are posted about 10 days in advance, and online comments close two days before the hearing. No sign up is required in order to comment. City Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge City Council will conduct Public Hearings on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to consider Council Bills:
29-2023: An Ordinance approving the rezoning of properties located at 3650 and 3660 Wadsworth Boulevard from Restricted-Commercial (R-C) and Neighborhood-Commercial (N-C) to Mixed Use-Neighborhood (MU-N).
30-2023: An Ordinance amending Section 2-33 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning Community Service Officer code enforcement powers.
31-2023: An Ordinance vacating any interest held by the City in a portion of Clear Creek Drive, a public roadway.
32-2023: an ordinance vacating any right-of-way interest held by the City in a portion of Miller Court.
The proposed ordinances are available in electronic form on the City’s official website, www.ci.wheatridge.co.us/legal-notices. Upon appointment, request and notification, copies are also available in printed form.
The December 11, 2023 Council meeting will be conducted both as a virtual meeting and in Council Chambers. The public may also participate in these ways:

Individuals who, due to technology limitations, are unable to participate in the meeting virtually (via the Zoom platform) or by calling in on the telephone may contact Rhiannon Curry, Executive Assistant, at 303-235-2819 by noon on December 11, 2023. Arrangements will be made for those individuals to access City Hall during the meeting to view the meeting and provide public comment if desired. These comments will be heard and seen in real time by members of Council and City staff

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge Planning Commission will conduct a Public Meeting on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to consider Case No.:
WZ-23-10: An application filed by Elham Nekouie for approval of a zone change from Commercial-One (C-1) to Mixed Use-Neighborhood (MU-N) on a property located at 10390 West 38th Avenue.
The proposed zone change and accompanying documents are available in electronic form on the City’s official website, http://www.ci.wheatridge.co.us/872/legal-notices and at www.wheatridgespeaks.org. Specific plans for the proposed changes are available for inspection at the Wheat Ridge City Hall during business hours.
The December 7, 2023, Planning Commission meeting will be conducted as a virtual meeting and in person in City Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Avenue. Any person wishing to submit written documents for Commission’s consideration at the meeting must file them with Community Development staff. Written comments may be submitted on Wheat Ridge Speaks at www.wheatridgespeaks.org until noon on December 6. Alternatively, written documents or comments must be received no later than noon on the day of the meeting by emailing zoning@ci.wheatridge.co.us or mailing to City of Wheat Ridge, Attn: Planning Division, 7500 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge CO 80033.

Resolution 01-2023: Effective January 9, 2023
Public notice of public meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and all other Board, Commission, Committee, and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required, shall be posted at the main entrance to the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the City.
Except as otherwise permitted by Sections 5.2 and 5.12 of the Charter, notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City, shall be made in the Jeffco Transcript; except that, where circumstances make publication ineffective or otherwise undesirable, the City may publish official notice on the City’s website.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ordinances 1748 – 1763 (where applicable) were codified into Supplement 70 for insertion into the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge. Except where stated in the ordinances, Supplement 70 is effective August 1, 2023.

The first 10 pages of information are free. Additional pages are $.25 per page. Information requests requiring staff research efforts will be assessed at $33/hour in 1/4 hour increments. The first hour of research is free of charge.
